Sometimes files get deleted! It happens. The first solution is to go to the deleted files in your recycle bin. (Fun fact all files the Google drive automatically deletes. Even by someone else and then done automatically on your computer by the program back up and sync actually go to recycle bins)  so in order to restore a file just find a computer that had the file prior to it being deleted from the whole drive and restore from thier recycle bin.
