If you need to put in a claim for a family, you simply fill out the claim form. This is currently in my folder. You can retrieve it and save as and place it wherever you will find it easily.
Open it up and fill out. The top section is for our information. Equity & Help, Inc. is the Insured. Use our address, etc…
You will need the property address and the date the loss occurred.
When putting a claim in for damage to the property, you most likely will not be filling out the Liability Claim section.
When a family calls you or emails you asking to put in a claim, the things they need to know is;
1. We have a $2500 deductible. This means unless the damage is more than that – we will not get any assistance from them.
2. If they have photos of the damage, it’s a good idea to ask them to email them to you and include it in the email when you send off the claim form.
3. Families need to understand the insurance is only for our property. They should have rental insurance for belongings inside the home.
