Google services are available in all Google languages. You can change the display language to your preferred language at any time. 


Change your web language settings

  1. Sign in to your Google Account.
  2. On the left, click Personal info.
  3. Under "General preferences for the web," click Language and then Edit Edit.
  4. Search for and select your preferred language.
  5. Click Select.
  6. If you understand multiple languages, click + Add another language.

After you change your language preferences, close and reopen your browser.

How to use Google automatically added languages

Google automatically adds languages that you frequently use in Google services. When Google adds a language, it’s labeled as Added for you Added for you.
  1. Sign in to your Google Account.
  2. On the left, click Personal info.
  3. Under "General preferences for the web," click Language.
  4. Choose an option:
    • To confirm a language that's added for you: Select Save.
    • To remove a language that Google added: Select Delete Delete.
    • To stop Google from automatically adding languages: Turn off Automatically add languages.

How Google uses your language settings

Google uses your language settings to make Google services more useful. When you specify your language, you help us show your content and results in one or more of your preferred languages, and provide more relevant, tailored content you might be interested in, like ads.

Fix problems with changing language

To check your Google Account language, open your Google Account. You'll find the language you selected.

  • The language change didn't work: If your Google Account doesn't match the language you selected, clear your browser's cache and cookies and set the language again.
    Tip: Deleting cookies also removes your saved settings for other sites you've visited.
