PURPOSE (The reason why this position exists):
Every successful Org has an Org Board- on it are everyone’s titles. Each title should have a hat associated with it. Your job is to ensure every post has a fast start hat and hat pack so that every employee can know all facets of their post, as well as anyone else’s on the Org Board. Information should be easily duplicated without much assistance from a senior.
VIEWPOINT (The viewpoint that an employee should have to be successful at the job):
Hats are probably the most important thing an org can have- without hats or hatting material, nobody will know what they are doing and everyone will be in a state of confusion. That said, it’s vital for you to take the managerial responsibility to get hats at all costs- even if an employee wearing a hat won’t turn one over to you, then you are responsible for creating one.
COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED:
Google suite, Microsoft Office products (word, excel), E&H Matrix, ability to operate scanner and printer, conduct rapid Google searches, understanding of files, documents and organizational basics
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Time-management, organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptable to changing systems and work-flows, able to learn quickly, solution-oriented, careful and precise admin, high aptitude, can oversee, guide, hat, or bypass juniors as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
To get everyone’s hats and create hat packs for each post
Create courses
Update the Org Board as needed
Add to the KB
WEEKLY ACTIONS:
Work with staff to create full hats and add to hat packs
Ensure all staff are hated/hats are up to date
STATISTICS:
Personnel points total
ACTION STATS:
# of hats edited or created or changed over 40%
# of courses created and approved
5 KB articles put in from employees other than IT

GLOSSARY OF TERMS:
Hat: A duty or the duties of a post or position. It comes from the fact that jobs are often distinguished by a type of hat such as a fireman, policemen, conductor, etc. Hence, the term hats, as in "Every hat has a product". A term used to describe the write ups, check sheets, and packs that outline the purposes, know-how and duties of a post. It exists in folders and packs and is trained on the person on post, as in "Any job or position in the world could have its own hat".
KB: Knowledge Base- created by an organization strictly for team members to access private or confidential knowledge as needed. It should contain as much information and documentation as possible in order to help employees do their jobs with a minimum of interruption.
