You can use the Coursera website on a supported web browser. You can also use the Coursera app on a mobile device (like a smartphone or tablet).
If you’re encountering technical issues while using Coursera, you may need to update your mobile app or web browser.

Coursera supports the most recent versions of the following browsers on computers:

- Microsoft Edge

Is Internet Explorer a supported browser?
Internet Explorer is no longer a supported browser on Coursera as of August, 2021.
Microsoft has announced plans to retire Internet Explorer by June, 2022. Due to restrictions in its capabilities, Internet Explorer isn’t compatible with many of the features and improvements we want to provide for our learners.
If you’re using Internet Explorer to access the Coursera website, some features may not be available and you may experience technical issues.
You can use the links above to download a supported browser. Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are the most compatible with the Coursera website.
Accessing Coursera from a mobile device
You can access Coursera from a mobile device using any supported browser, but you may have a better experience using the Coursera app.
We recommend downloading the Coursera app to use Coursera on a mobile device.
How to solve technical issues
If you’re having technical issues with the Coursera website while using a supported browser:
- Try updating to the most recent version of your web browser
- Try using a different supported web browser

You can use the Coursera mobile app with iPhone and iPad (iOS 14.0+) and Android (5.0+) devices.
If you’re encountering issues with the Coursera app, try updating to the most recent version of the app in your device’s app store.

To use Coursera on a computer, you'll need a reliable internet connection and a computer with at least 1 GB of memory/RAM.
