You can adjust the language of your Coursera account in your account settings. This affects text on your homepage and system text in courses you take. Course content will always appear in the language that it was written.
Note: Some courses are fully translated into multiple languages and we support translated subtitles on course videos. Guided Projects are only available in the language they were created in and aren’t subtitled.
How to change your language
To change your language:
- Log in to coursera.org.
- Click your name in the top-right, then select Settings to open your account settings
- Click the dropdown menu under Language, and select the language you’d like to see displayed.
- In the Account section, click the drop-down menu under Language.
- Select the language you want to use for your account, then click Save.
- Refresh the page or visit a new page to see the language update.
Coursera currently supports these languages:
- English
- German
- Spanish
- French
- Japanese
- Korean
- Portuguese (Brazilian)
- Russian
- Chinese (traditional and simplified)
- Arabic (see below for more details)
