Step by Step

1. Select the Mail tab.

2. In the Print On drop down menu, Select the Certified Mail Form or Envelope you are using. For this tutorial we will be preparing the very popular Stamps.com Certified Mail Envelope # 3810. With #3810, electronic Receipt is available.

3. Enter a Mail To address, or click the Mail To link and select one from your Contact list.

4. Enter the weight of your mailpiece.

5. Select a USPS Service. Certified Mail is available for Domestic First Class Mail and Priority Mail.

6. For Envelope #3810, checkElectronic Receipt, which is available online.

7. If this is your first time preparing a Stamps.com Certified Mail form or envelope, we suggest printing a sample on plain paper to insure you are loading your form or envelopeinto your printer correctly. Print as many samples as needed until you are comfortable.

8. When you are comfortable with your printer, load your Stamps.com Certified Mail form or envelope into your printer, and select Print Postage.

9. Depending on the Certified Mail form and/or services you have selected, follow the instructions on the back of your form and if needed, place the Certified Mail label correctly on your mailpiece.

That's all there is to it. You have prepared Certified Mail with Stamps.com without filling out any forms by hand or going to the Post Office. Simply hand your Certified Mail envelope or package to your mail carrier or drop it off in any mailbox.
