Generally, we don't record land contracts unless we have to.

Sometimes recording the land contract means that we must now do a forclosure instead of an eviction.

it also means if we evict the person and the LC is recorded we also have to record that change in the county which is extra admin work.

If at any point we need to or a family/municipality asks for us to record a land contract we should comply.


If you've evicting a land contract and someone requires us to have it recorded we can record it, but first, we should see if the lawyer has any tools like just sending a process server or abandonment posting to the property first before we go through the trouble.
