If we are the ones who need to turn it on, make sure the homeowner is there when we turn it on. make sure they also know that we do not know the state of the plumbing or electrical. The family must always be there in case the electrical or plumbing causes issues. Tight cordination is of the upmost importance.

If the family is not qualled to handle the problem, then make sure whoever made them qualled in the first place (family memeber, etc) in there when utilites are turned on.

If the house is vacant then we must make sure we have a vendor there.

Ensure that when It comes to a house owned by a family that they understand whatever happens when utilites are turned on is on them. and that it is not unlikly that there will be problems witht he water, electric or both.
