 I was under the impression that it was 
generally $2,500 and in some states $5,000.  I also was aware that for vandalism and in some states (wasn't sure which) hail and high winds would
be a $5,000 deductible.  I was NOT aware that in a list of certain states the deductible is not any of those - but it is 5% of the coverage amount.  

In some cases, this is a very large difference.  For example, the claim submitted for the roof damage for 1426 Chickasaw Blvd in OK, the deductible was $8,352.00.  This is a handy piece of information when considering whether or not to submit a claim.
