CREATE AN ABI (TRANSFER) HAT WRITE UP


Purpose: The purpose of this hat write up is to show the standard way of creating an ABI for transfer for one investor to a new entity.

Steps: 

  1. In google drive go to 

 






  1. Then click on the file “ABI MailMerge Data”











  1. Once in the excel file, type the following

  1. Date:  The date that you are going to create the ABI

  2. Assignor 1: The investor that is transferring the ABI

Note: If it is a company name you must write the name company in this cell

  1. Assignor name1 : Name of the investor that is signing the transferring of the ABI

Note: if it is not a company the name of the investor must be in the assignor 1 and assignor name 1, if it is a company you have to use the same name as Assignor 1

Assignor 2: if there is a second investor that is transferring the ABI

Assignor name2 : if there is a second investor  from we are transferring the ABI

  1. Assignee 1: The new entity receiving  ABI

Note: If it is a company name you must write the name company in this cell

  1. Assignee name1 : Name of the new entity receiving the ABI

Note: if it is not a company the name of the new entity must be in the assignee 1 and assignee name 

  1. Trustee: Equity & Help Inc.

  2. Percent Words: One Hundred

  3. Percent Numbers: 100

  4. Trust date: The date that the trust was created.

Note: you will find this information in the trust in Matrix
















  1.  Trust name: It is the trust name

  1. Day: the day in ordinal name (1st, 2nd, 3r, 5th etc)

  2. Month: Month of transferring the ABI

  3. Year: of Transferring the ABI 


  1. Once you put all the data in the excel file save it and close it







  1. Go back to the Assignment of Beneficial Interest folder

  2. Open the “Transfer of Assignment of Beneficial Interest inTrust to E_H with no notary” template

  1. The system is going to shows a sign, click “yes”

  1. Once the file is open, go to “Mailings” option in the top






  1. Then click on the last record arrow

  1. Once you are in the last record, click on the previous record arrow

  1. Then the word document will show you the ABI with the information that you put in the excel file 

  2. Then print the document and take it to sign by Equity & Help Inc 

  3. Once the ABI is signed by Equity and Help Inc, scan the document and save it in the folder of the previous entity folder and in the new entity folder in Div 2 Central Files .

Label the doc as follows: ABI (Trust Name) transfer from (Investor transferring) to (New entity receiving) (date) signed.
