This article assumes you are already logged into Gather, and have claimed a desk area.
1. In your desk area, you can select the "Hammer" tool to start building, this is located at the bottom-right of the screen
2. This brings up a side-bar, where you have different options "My desk" and "Build"
3. Here we can do several things. At the top, there is a search bar to find specific items you are looking for.
4. Just under the search bar, is the eraser tool where you can delete a placed item
5. Next you have "Recent", "Uploaded", and "Text", you can ignore these.
6. Here is the real meat and potatoes.
7. These options will give you lists of items.
Note: the 9 dots on the top will list all items, if you select another one of these options and search for something, it may not show up because the search will only search the list you are in.
8. Now we can select an item, lets search for a chair. We will see a list of different chair options
9. Let's select the first one
10. Here we can see a preview of the chair, now we can place the item as it is, or we can make some changes.
11. To change the color, click on the little color picker on the top right of the preview. This will bring up a list of color options to choose from.
12. Now we can rotate the item using the circle arrows on either side.
Note: color and rotation options may not be available on all items!
13. Now that we have our chosen color and orientation, we can move the item with our mouse, and wherever we click on the map, that is where the item will go.
14. If we don't like where the item is, or want to remove it, we can select the eraser tool, and hover over the object. It will highlight it red, letting us know that it is the item we want to remove. Once we click, it will delete the item.
