At the bottom-left of the screen, you can see the mic and camera buttons
Clicking on the arrows lets you select inputs and options, and clicking on the mic or camera icon itself will turn them on and off.
Side quest:
You can set a virtual background by going to the camera options, and selecting "Background & Effects" and selecting one there.
